Plante Moran Partner James Drybanski

An accomplished financial professional, James Drybanski has worked as a partner in the forensic and valuation services group at Plante Moran in Denver since 2018. He provides critical support to clients in the estate planning process. His responsibilities in this position involve performing qualified business valuations designed to determine the value of privately held business interest gifts. In addition, Mr. Drybanski opines on discounts for lack of control and marketability that can be used to optimize estate planning processes.

During his two-decade career, James Drybanski has worked extensively in areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and strategies, and financial reporting, among additional areas of focus. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Denver, among other professional affiliations.

Mr. Drybanski studied economics at the University of Colorado in Boulder. He received his charter from the CFA Institute in 2011. He has also completed the business valuation program with the American Society of Appraisers. Apart from his activities in finance, he enjoys staying active mountain biking in the Rocky Mountains.
